交互設(shè)計，又稱互動設(shè)計，(英文Interaction Design, 縮寫 IxD 或者 IaD),是定義、設(shè)計人造系統(tǒng)的行為的設(shè)計領(lǐng)域。人造物，即人工制成物品，例如，軟件、移動設(shè)備、人造環(huán)境、服務、可佩帶裝置以及系統(tǒng)的組織結(jié)構(gòu)。交互設(shè)計在于定義人造物的行為方式(the "interaction",即人工制品在特定場景下的反應方式)相關(guān)的界面。
交互（inter-action），從字面上理解，就是 A 和 B 之間的一系列動作和行為。比如，早上你出門時碰到鄰居，沖 ta 喊一聲“早”，ta 對你點頭、微笑，說“早” —— 這就是一個完整的互動過程。當然，互動不僅限于人與人之間，還可以發(fā)生在系統(tǒng)和系統(tǒng)之間，比如人和機器，人和環(huán)境，機器和環(huán)境，等等。
這可是個要命的問題：幾乎在同一個次元的人和 “物”，都可能發(fā)生互動。當然，我們主要關(guān)注發(fā)生在對象和人之間，但這個范圍仍然過于寬泛。界面上的一個按鈕，是交互；賣披薩不給手套，是交互；想過馬路對面卻要走幾公里穿隧道，是交互……
