榮譽學位(Honours Degrees，簡寫Hons)這個詞來源于西方，又被翻譯成優(yōu)等生學位，主要存在于英國和澳洲兩個國家。
在澳洲，榮譽學位課程通常實在普通學士課程后再加一年，但有些科系已將其融合到普通學士課程當中，甄選上的學生可以在大二或大三開始其榮譽學士課程的學習。
學習榮譽學位課程的同學需完成自身專業(yè)科目的深入研究，通常包括四到五門研究性科目和一篇高質(zhì)量的兩萬字論文，學習強度非常大。
榮譽學士成績由研究性科目成績和論文共同組成，最終等級劃分為
一等榮譽學位 HonoursI
二等上榮譽學位 Honours IIA
二等下榮譽學位 Honours IIB
三等榮譽學位 HonoursIII
榮譽學士學位一般僅對本校的本科生開放。榮譽學位的競爭尤為激烈，只有成績優(yōu)異的畢業(yè)生（排名前5%）才有機會入選此榮譽學位。一等榮譽學位的授予量每年都會有嚴格控制，通常一個學校一屆學生只有1到2位。通常情況下，獲得二等上榮譽學士可以直接讀博士。
在全球范圍內(nèi)都擁有非常高的認可度。申請美國或英國的研究生，部分院校是不接受澳洲三年制普通本科學士學位，而榮譽學士學位受到普遍的認可。即使有些學校的碩士課程接受澳洲三年制不同本科學士學位，其成績要求也比澳洲榮譽學位學士持有者高很多。
